Description
As a snow-bird visitor, white-crowned sparrows, arrive in the Arizona Sonoran Desert as early as late September, and stay through late May. White-crowned Sparrows show loyalty to their winter territories and are likely to return to the same areas each year.
Just one of the treats in my natural desert acre. A sheer garden of joy, as these lovely birds grace my home with their presence. The key is to get to photograph them before they fly away. Generally, I need my 2000 mm camera to pull it off.
This little guy was happily eating away, and paused for a brief moment to be photographed.
